Headache

Woke up with a headache. Went to work and stayed for a few hours, most of them spent in a bit of a haze. Went home, tucked myself into bed and slept for 5 hours. Feeling better now, although a bit fragile. Ready to go to bed, to wake up and go to work again.

Foxtrot, the egyptian dance and other activities

Some days are better than other. Some days are more eventful than others. And some days are just hot, humid and regular. I have no ida where I am going with this, however I think the point is that it has been a while since I spent any time jotting down my thoughts.

The last couple of weeks have been hectic but hectic is good as it means I am finally bringing in some money. I still haven't got myself a "real" job; instead I am currently juggling 3!!
The latest addition is working as an events organiser for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. It is busy, busy, busy. Having said that, the people I work with are great and I get to spend four days at the circuit, wearing a headset, driving a golfbuggy and wearing a (probably) rather silly uniform.

Last weekend we went up to Albany (about 3-4 hours northeast of Melbourne on the NSW border) to go to an engagement party. We spent all of Saturday on Ryno's family's farm and I got to drive a quadbike. Heaps of fun!!! I did not see snakes or creepy crawlies, instead calves and kangaroos; much better and furrier.
The party was fun, although I have to say the cheap wine and lovely bubbly did it's job, and by the end I remember doing the "Egyptian dance" to the Bangles as well as trying to foxtrot with Will. Zigzagzigzagzigzag.

Yesterday the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra did a free concert at the Sidney Myer Musicbowl so Will, Al, Lou and myself had a picnic, some wine, great company, fabulous fireworks and not to forget absolutely amazing music.

I have also had time to crack the shits twice. Once about the state of this house. (The state is messy. No one could be bothered tidying or cleaning...) And once when a person (no names mentioned) decided he wanted to watch an old episode of South Park when desperate Housewives was on. I watch one program a week and I nearly lost it. Then the comment (not personally to me the coward) came: "Technically it's ----'- Tv and my box".
Yes, I'll remember that next time you want to use my laptop and Will's modem. ;-)

This coming weekend I will be working.

Today two people have told me they don't see Britain and Ireland as being Europe, or Scandinavia for that matter. Only the mainland. Maybe it's just me, but that sounds strange. What do you think?

Scrambled

Yay, Will's back home after a week in Bendigo.
We went for dinner on Friday night when we ran into Mikey and John who were on their way to a pub by the market. After dinner I met up with them which was lovely as I haven't really been out with Mikey this time around. So refreshing to hang out with "new" people!!

On Saturday, we went to the Eyes, Lies and Illusions exhibition at ACMI at Fed Square. I was a little bit disappointed as I thought it was going to be more interactive, but on the whole not too bad.

Bought The Good, the Bad and the Queen. Yep, Damon's back. (Was he ever gone?)

Will is starting Swedish at Melbourne Uni in a couple of weeks. He's a brave man!

The truth about bling

I saw Blood Diamond last Sunday. Please go see it. It tells the truth; the awful, hurtful truth.

Jeanette at work is going to have a baby in August. Very exciting news. Many babies around soon.

Will's away the whole week and it's very quiet around here...

Alright, Still

Thusday and since I had the day off work today, I met Will for lunch in the city, then I met up with Nellie since her and Birtles are moving here from Canberra.
Working tomorrow but on Saturday myself, Sabina and Jeanette from work are going to the beach. Bring on magazines, fruitsalads, sand and maybe, just maybe, even a dip in th ocean. (Badkruka).

On Monday Will and I went to see Lily Allen and she was absolutely great. A little pixie dressed in a gorgeous floral 1960's type dress. Attitude all the way. Me like.
